All registration for out-of-school examinees is online only. Districts no longer receive registration packets. TAKS examinees (including former TAAS and TEAMS examinees) must register online at http://www.TexasAssessment.com/taksoos. Examinees can continue to register on site at a participating campus the day of testing, if the campus can accommodate them. District personnel will then be responsible for entering the registration information online. Registration for the October exit level retests opens August 8, 2011, and ends at 5:00 PM (CT), September 16, 2011. The TAKS exit level retests will be administered on October 18, 2011 (English language arts); October 19, 2011 (mathematics); October 20, 2011 (science); and October 21, 2011 (social studies). A list of participating campuses can be found at http://www.TexasAssessment.com/oosTestSites.
Because the TAAS tests are no longer being administered, former TAAS examinees (including former TEAMS examinees) will take the appropriate part of the TAKS exit level English language arts and/or mathematics retest(s). The next administration of the TAKS retests for former TAAS examinees will be October 18, 2011, for English language arts writing; October 19, 2011, for mathematics; and October 20, 2011, for English language arts reading. TAKS scores will be matched to the appropriate TAAS passing standard.
On the day(s) of testing, examinees should arrive at the test site 30 minutes before the designated testing time. Examinees MUST present picture identification, such as a driver’s license, DPS ID, military ID, school ID, or resident alien card to test. Examinees will not be able to take the test(s) without a picture ID. Out-of-School Registration Online Only Beginning in October 2010Beginning with the October 2010 administration of the TAKS exit level tests, all registration for out-of-school examinees will be online only.
